Infra signs MoU with SWPC to support Jazan wastewater projects, offering equity options and financing solutions to boost investor confidence and advance Vision 2030 goals.

The National Infrastructure Fund “Infra” have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saudi Water Partnership Company “SWPC”, on the sidelines of the Saudi Water Partnership Company Forum and Ceremony held at the Fairmont Hotel, Riyadh.
The MoU aims to support the development of the “Small-Scale Wastewater Treatment Plants and Collection Networks” project in the Jazan region. This includes providing the option for Infra to contribute equity to qualified companies and consortiums participating in the project bid. The objective is to accelerate and facilitate the financial close process while boosting investor confidence. Additionally, the MoU explores other innovative financing solutions from Infra as needed.
This agreement underscores the pivotal role played by the National Infrastructure Fund in encouraging partnerships with the private sector, stimulating local and international investors, and attracting them to participate in executing key infrastructure projects in the Kingdom.
Eng. Esmail Alsallom, CEO of Infra, stated, “The MoU emphasizes the Infra’s commitment to enhancing private sector participation in vital infrastructure projects, particularly in the water and environmental sectors. It aims to contribute to the sector’s goals of expanding wastewater treatment capacity and increasing the geographical coverage of sewage networks.”
Eng. Khaled Al-Quraishi, CEO of SWPC, added, “This agreement will provide further support for infrastructure projects in the Kingdom’s water sector, contributing to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.”
